Forget “I’ll Start in January”: Keep Moving Through the Holidays
Don’t Let the Holidays Derail Your Fitness Journey The holidays are here—and apparently, we’re supposed to believe that all our healthy habits need to disappear until January. Nope. Not happening. In this episode, we’re talking about what happens when the holidays turn into an all-or-nothing season: more food, less movement, crazy schedules, travel, parties, and the inevitable thought of, “I’ll start again in January.” But here’s the truth: you don’t have to start over. Your fitness journey doesn’t need to be perfect during the holidays. It just needs to keep moving. Maybe your workouts are shorter. Maybe you walk instead of doing a full workout. Maybe you do 11 minutes and call it a win. Because it IS a win. We’ll talk about how to stay connected to your body, give yourself some grace, and avoid the January 1st mentality that says you have to punish yourself for enjoying December. You don’t need a new year to make a better choice. You can start today. You can start tomorrow. You can start with 11 minutes. The goal isn’t perfection. The goal is momentum. So grab your coffee—or your holiday cocktail, because I’m not here to judge—and let’s talk about how to enjoy the holidays without completely abandoning yourself in the process. Just Keep it moving. January doesn’t need to be your rescue plan.
